Leadership at ForestView

We believe leadership is the responsibility to build something that outlasts us—a group practice where people are cared for well, challenged to grow, and equipped to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Shelby Linstrom

Owner, chief executive officer

MA, LPC, CFRC, EMDR-C

Shelby has been providing mental health therapy since 2014, walking alongside people through some of the hardest seasons of their lives. Her work focuses on PTSD, anxiety, depression, and grief and loss—especially for people in high‑stress, high‑responsibility roles.

Shelby's approach is structured and evidence‑based while actively recognizing and adapting to the needs of the client. She likes to be clear about what's being worked on, why it matters, and how progress is measured.

She is passionate in helping the client break big problems into smaller, workable steps, using strategies from trauma‑informed care, cognitive and behavioral therapies, and nervous‑system regulation. She aims to create a space that is calm, direct, and honest— where the client doesn't have to perform or worry that their stories are “too much” or that they're being judged.

In February 2024, Shelby started ForestView Wellness to better support law enforcement and other first responders not only through a high-quality wellness and resilience program, but also mental health therapy. Out of that work, she recognized the growing need to build a group practice that offers wellness and mental health services for first responder families, other high-stress professions, organizations, and people that desire more than general talk therapy or "vent" sessions.

ForestView is not a revolving‑door clinic or a “one‑size‑fits‑all” therapy brand -- we offer high‑quality, structured care from clinicians who are deeply trained, well‑supported, and actually have the time and space to think about their clients. ForestView is designed to be different.

Shelby values hiring clinicians that focus on clear treatment plans, real collaboration, and honest communication—both with clients and with each

other—so people don’t just feel “seen,” but also experience real, measurable change in their lives.
