FAQs
If I pursue individual mental health therapy, will it affect my job or any of my certifications?
No. Therapy at ForestView First Responder Wellness and Mental Health is confidential and private. I do not report to departments or employers unless legally required (imminent safety concerns), which is consistent with standard mental health ethics.
Do you understand First Responder culture?
Yes. My services are designed specifically for First Responder professionals and account for the realities of shift work, exposure, dark humor, and cumulative stress. I have also completed a certification in First Responder Counseling.
Is this only for PTSD or crisis situations?
Not at all. Many clients seek support for burnout, chronic stress, sleep issues, grief, anxiety, or emotional overload long before reaching a crisis point.
Do you work with active-duty First Responders?
Yes. My approach is built to support individuals who are currently working in high-pressure roles.
Do I provide “touchy-feely” individual mental health therapy?
No forced vulnerability. No fluff. I focus on practical tools, nervous system regulation, and real-world application while utilizing direct, evidence-based therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
