About Me
As a Licensed Professional Counselor with over a decade of experience, I’ve dedicated my career to providing mental health therapy and wellness programs for Police, Fire and EMS personnel. My training includes evidence-based therapies for anxiety, depression, PTSD, and grief and loss. I hold a certification in EMDR and First Responder Counseling.
In February 2024, I founded ForestView Wellness with Responders in mind. My continuing goal is to offer quality mental health services tailored to the unique challenges you face. I have the privilege of being the Wellness & Resilience Program provider for several police departments in Central PA.

My approach centers on building genuine relationships, offering relevant education for common Responder difficulties, and supporting sustainable personal growth—both on and off the job. Through Wellness and Resilience Programs, I strive to create a space where Responders can find support, understanding and tools for their overall well-being.
Wellness & Resilience Checks
Wellness and Resilience Checks are all about building strong relationships, providing education, and supporting Police, Fire, and EMS professionals in a way that aims to positively impact their well-being, both at work and in their everyday lives.
Critical Incident Stress Debriefings
I offer personalized, individual Critical Incident Stress Debriefings to assist department members in effectively processing traumatic experiences. Mental Health Therapy: What To Expect
Initial Intake
Initial mental health therapy intakes typically take 45-60 minutes. During this session, I will encourage you to share your reasons for seeking support for your mental health and your goals for the process. As part of the intake, I will ask standard questions, including a brief family history, your mental health history, and any symptoms you may be experiencing. Additionally, I may request that you complete symptom inventories to assess possible difficulties like anxiety, depression, or PTSD, which will help determine the suitable type of therapy for you (such as CBT, ACT, or EMDR).
Session 1-3
In sessions 1-3, as a team you and I will assess whether we are suitable match to move forward with the mental health therapy relationship. Once we agree to work together, we will collaboratively develop your mental health treatment plan aimed at helping reach your therapy goals. Additionally, I may gather more background information, provide education on anxiety, depression, PTSD, other related topics, explore obstacles to your progress, and identify resources beyond therapy sessions.
Session 4-10
Sessions 4-10 will be dedicated to progressing towards your mental health therapy goals. This involves engaging in established evidence-based therapy, assessing your improvement through the readministering of mental health assessments, setting new therapy objectives as needed and ensuring you stay accountable for completing agreed upon action plans.
Session 10+
Depending on your progress in therapy, we may consider extending the time between our appointments. This will give you a chance to practice what you've learned independently. We'll also discuss your transition out of therapy, identify other goals for your treatment plan, address concerns about ending sessions, as well as include future steps if you feel the need to return.
CONFIDENTIALITY: What’s said in the room stays in the room. Just like you protect sensitive information on the job, your therapist protects your privacy in session. Confidentiality means your personal stories, struggles, and experiences aren’t shared without your permission—except in rare cases where safety is at risk.
There are only three situations where a therapist may have to break confidentiality:
-
If you share plans or intent to harm yourself or someone else.
-
If there is suspicion or disclosure of abuse or neglect involving a child, elder, or vulnerable adult.
-
If a court orders the release of records.

Therapy works best when you can speak freely, knowing your trust is respected and your information is secure.

Wellness & Resilience Program
Wellness and Resilience Programs are essential in Police, Fire, & EMS departments, where daily exposure to high-stress situations as well as operational stressors can take a toll on mental, emotional and physical health. These programs provide practical tools and support to help Responders manage stress, prevent burnout, and recover from stressful experiences. By prioritizing wellness and resilience, departments not only protect the well-being of their teams but also strengthen their ability to serve the community with focus, compassion, and professionalism.
